Tyler Findley

Tyler Findley is originally from Forrest City, Arkansas where he studied music under Chris Tate. He holds a Bachelors degree in Music education from Delta State university and  a Masters degree from the renowned American Band College. While at Delta State he performed as a member of the Delta State Wind Ensemble, Pride of the Delta Marching Band, Delta Jazz, Okra Pep Band, Trombone Choir, Brass Quintet, Brass Ensemble and Blues Band. He studied low brass performance form Dr. Neale Bartee and Dr. Edward Bahr. Mr. Findley studied conducting with Robert Ponto and Anthony Maiello.  Outside of Delta State, Mr. Findley has also performed with Memphis Sound Drum and Bugle Corps and the Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corps. He continues to play professionally playing with the Belhaven Symphony and various community groups in the Jackson, Ms. area. Mr. Findley has been involved in public education since 2006. First teaching as adjunct staff at Cleveland High School. He then went on to teach at Grenada High School and then Florence High School. Mr. Findley has had superior ensembles in 3A, 4A and 6A. Mr. Findley was also a member of the Memphis Sound staff in 2007 when they won the DCI open class world championship.
